Agreement finalised for development and roll-out of innovative intelligent-charging solutions for electric vehicles
Identification and design of technological solutions enabling integration of renewables with the grid, specifically on the smaller Italian islands, and development of sustainable mobility through use of an innovative intelligent-charging platform for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. These are the main goals of the Memorandum of Understanding signed today in Rome by Terna Energy Solutions (company belonging to the Terna Group) and The Mobility House, a technology company based in Germany, Switzerland and California’s Silicon Valley. The Mobility House provides a software integrating vehicle batteries into the power grid - using intelligent charging, energy and storage solutions.
The scope of the agreement specifically regards development of hardware and software systems for cooperation and smart charging, and will find micro-grid applications also on the islands not interconnected with the national grid, with potential opportunities in Italy, Europe and North America.
Terna Energy Solutions and The Mobility House shall work to finalise all technical/economic feasibility analyses for the project, including legal and regulatory aspects and technological potential.
